Just because cards with money inside

Not every gift needs a date on it. Some of the best ones arrive on an ordinary Tuesday, for no reason beyond somebody having a hard month or doing something kind and not being thanked for it.

Giving money without making it awkward

Money given outside an occasion can land badly. Sent as a bare transfer it can read as charity, or as settling something, and the person receiving it often feels they have to account for it.

A card changes what it is. The words do the explaining, the money is simply inside, and the person on the other end gets something to open rather than a notification to interpret.
